Steve Vai (born: Carle Place, New York, June 6, 1960) is a guitarist, songwriter, singer and producer originating from the United States.

At the age of 6 years, Steve began studying piano. At the age of 10 years, Steve started learning to play the accordion. At age 13 Steve then started a deep guitar and since then the birth of a new guitar god.


Steve Vai in his career with his debut album Flex-Able leftovers in 1984. In 1990, Steve released a second album entitled Passion and Warfare. The album received international recognition and Steve won the Guitar Player magazine reader's poll in 4 different categories. Steve's third album titled Sex & Religion released in 1993 and fourth album Alien Love Secrets was released in 1995. In 1996 the Fire Garden Steve's fifth album was released.


In 1999, Steve released his sixth album entitled Ultra Zone. In this album focuses more Steve himself in the composition of songs and experimenting with his guitar.The Seventh Song 2001 album was released and the album contains the song slow / ballad ever released Steve with plus a few new songs. And in 2001, Alive in an Ultra World has been released.


Steve Vai also produced two albums entitled Christmas Merry Merry Axemas Vol.1 and Vol.2 Axemas, the G3 concert with Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson / Kenny Wayne Shepherd and the last John Petrucci contributed also to join in the G3.


Lately, Steve Vai focused more experimenting on guitar and Steve Vai band now added a bass player who has made familiar rock-music of the 80s, Billy Sheehan.
